Does this work with WordPress MU? I tried installing the plugin on a fairly clean MU install, but received errors on activation.

↪ Paul I haven't tried it on MU. What was saying the error message?

↪ Paul I'm sorry, please try the just released version, I forgot to turn off error reporting and WP MU seems to produce some minor errors…

    Hi ,

It seems the plugin isn't working wtih 2.8. It produces an error after you save „Options.php not found“. I read that this is due to the new security model where everything has to be done through „register_setting()“ http://planetozh.com/blog/2009/05/handling-plugins-options-in-wordpress-28-with-register_setting/

Maybe its something different on my end?

    Hi,

I can manage to get all left column functions working / hidden, but other columns in your tool which control dashboard elements (like the wordpress news) do not work i.e. do not get hidden from users.

    Could you help?

↪ Gb1, ↪ Oais Thanks guys, I'll take a look at that hopefully tomorrow.

  9. 9.  Kahi [author] wrote: On March 9., 2010 comment number 9

↪ Gb1 Can't confirm that error. On my 2.8.4 settings are saved properly. Do you have options.php in wp-admin directory? (Defaultly, there is.)

↪ Oais Much thanks for pointing this out, it's fixed in 0.8.2 (available any moment),

Hi, can you also have different settings per level or is it just one setting for the specified level ?

  12. 12.  Kahi [author] wrote: On March 17., 2010 comment number 12

↪ Sjouke Currently you can (optionally) specify level below that settings are applied. In future versions, I'd like to see per-role settings but it's better not to expect it in the near future.

    Thanks for releasing this.

I created a similar plugin called Simple CMS but haven't updated it to work with the latest versions. It's great to see someone creating something which can replace it.

↪ Ryan Hellyer Thanks Ryan for letting me know. If you have any ideas about plugin's features, don't be afraid to mention… :-)

I'm having issues with the plugin continuing to hide items once I've unchecked them. Happens on Tools, Settings and a Custom Post type I want to show. I've deactivating, and reinstalling – still hides them even through everything in those categories are unchecked.

    Any thoughts?

  16. 16.  Kahi [author] wrote: On October 26., 2010 comment number 16

↪ djbokka Ok, that sounds bad. Do I get it right that items of the administration menu, that were previously hidden are now still hidden although they are not checked in WPLite anymore? Thank you for cooperation!

  17. 17.  djbokka wrote: On October 28., 2010 comment number 17

That is correct, yes. I get them back, obviously, if I disable the plugin.

  18. 18.  djbokka wrote: On October 28., 2010 comment number 18

I'm not sure what the issue was but it seems to be working now. I'm sure something else was affecting it. Great plugin! Thank you!

  19. 19.  Kahi [author] wrote: On November 2., 2010 comment number 19

↪ djbokka I thank you! If you'd find out what was the source of problem, please let me know…

  20. 20.  djbokka wrote: On November 11., 2010 comment number 20

Looks like it was a permission issue hiding the items even though WP Lite said to show them. I changed the permissions for those items and it works as it should.

    Completely my fault.

    Hello,
I have a problem configuring the user level, the backup does not take into account the level …
I wish I could put options below the rank Administrator
    Can you help me please??

  22. 22.  Kahi [author] wrote: On November 20., 2010 comment number 22

↪ Fred I'm not sure I understand. What kind of „backup“ do you mean? Set level to „10“ and the rules will be applied to any users below the admin rank.

  23. 23.  Fred wrote: On November 21., 2010 comment number 23

the update option does not take into account the user level, it is as if there was no level indicated.

  24. 24.  Kahi [author] wrote: On November 22., 2010 comment number 24

↪ Fred Sorry, can't confirm the issue. Please provide me some details like what user role are you (currently logged-in account) and what level you set into WP Lite.

  25. 25.  Fred wrote: On November 22., 2010 comment number 25

I'm administrator and I used to wplite levels below the administrator (editor, author, contributor, subscriber), but this is not taken into account.

  26. 26.  Kahi [author] wrote: On November 22., 2010 comment number 26

↪ Fred I see the problem :-). Editor, author, etc. are roles, user-levels are numeric values. Click the link below the level text field.

I quit working with WordPress, comments are closed. My plugins will not be updated any more – at least not by me. Feel free to modify my source codes though… Also I am not able to provide support, sorry. –Kahi
